For the newbie home based businesses can be hard to find. There is lots of promise and hype and it is hard to get the meat from the gristle. How many ebooks promising riches are still on those virtual shelves marked as unfulfilled? Most people start out unrequited but the good news is that perseverance always wins out and you find your way.
Home based businesses need focus and determination to succeed but there is a well trodden path that can get you off to a good start. It’s the basic model of a web site about something that interests you so that like minded surfers are drawn to it. Put some ads on the pages that relate to the subject matter. Sounds easy enough doesn’t it?
It really isn’t too difficult to make money right from the start even if you know nothing about search engine optimization, black hats, copywriting and all the other things designed to confuse any newcomers and put them off.
Detecting honest prose is something that Google are getting very good at. So if you have lots of interesting comment on lots of pages and you make one small sale a day per page, I would call that real progress for your home based businesses.
You do need to know about keywords though. Do not leave this page without an understanding of this: If no one types the right phrase for your story, no one will get to see your hard work because the search engine won’t pull it out of the virtual filing cabinet.
Search engines are robots and it is good to remember that. It makes it easier to get to know them. Ask a robot to find information about engines and they will get you a list of petrol engines, deisel engines, electrical engines, search engines, are there any more? (Mojo’s aren’t engines!) So you need to be more specific for Robo’s admirable precision.
Your site that sells feathers from birds of prey would do very well with ‘feathers’ because there probably aren’t too many people selling them (I’m guessing here). What about feather dusters, feather headdresses, feather pens, feather pillows, feather arrow flights, featherhead snakes, the Third Reich and the Featherland. Lots of niches all waiting to be called by eager search engines.
Keywords are probably the most influential detail in the blooming of success. If you found out where to put these keywords so that Rojo can gather them all together easily you would get his grateful thanks by getting to be the most favourite on his list. Profitable home based businesses need this knowledge.
